Sales Techniques To Avoid
Now that the Christmas shopping season is upon us I though I'd share just a few of the sales techniques we have encountered that I don't think are having the desired effect.
1. Continually pester shopping customers with the incredible discount (10%) they can receive if they open a charge account to purchase the $10 item. Even after being emphatically told that the shoppers are definitely NOT INTERESTED continue to drone on and driving paying customers to virtually run out the door.
2. While customers are looking at jackets crammed together so tightly that it is impossible to see the items fully, display the lovely photo cube that is "free" with a mere $75 purchase. Follow the customers around and continue to extol the virtues of the photo cube once again driving the customers to run from the department.
3. When the customers sneak back into the coat department and are looking at $100 coats, proceed to tell them you will show them you "best" jackets (which are in the $400-600 range) forcing customers to run screaming from you.
And it's not even December yet!

Abby's Ear - Plan C
All forms of compression and drainage did not help poor Abby's ear... So she had surgery yesterday and as an added bonus got her teeth cleaned while she slept (don't you wish you could have multiple surgeries done at one time?) Pictures to follow when she gets home from her overnight stay.
